The journey of Nigerian footballer, Samuel Omorodion, at FC Porto has been a rollercoaster ride so far. The former Super Eagles striker was signed by the Portuguese club in June 2018 on loan from AS Monaco for one season.

Omorodion made his debut for FC Porto in a UEFA Europa League match against FK Ventspils on August 7, 2018. He scored twice in that game to help his team secure a 4-0 victory. However, it was not all smooth sailing for him as he suffered from injuries throughout the season.

Despite his struggles, Omorodion still managed to make an impact for FC Porto. In February 2019,Chinese Super League Matches he played in two consecutive games against Benfica and Sporting CP, scoring once each time.

His performances caught the attention of several European clubs, including Inter Milan and Chelsea. However, he decided to return to Portugal to complete his loan spell with FC Porto.

In January 2020, FC Porto announced that they had extended Omorodion's contract until the end of the 2020/21 season. This extension came after he scored three goals in seven appearances during the 2019/20 season.

Omorodion's stint with FC Porto was short-lived as he was sold back to AS Monaco for €5 million in May 2020. Despite this setback, Omorodion remains a highly rated player who is expected to have a bright future ahead of him.
